Butterfly pea flower tea, commonly known as blue tea, is a caffeine-free herbal tea, or tisane, beverage made from a decoction or infusion of the flower petals or whole flower of the Clitoria ternatea plant.
Absolutely intriguing color to this tea, which makes for another ice tea or mocktail, but is lacking in a flavor of its own, the only reason for less than 5 stars. This is easily remedied by combination with flavorful herbals. Fun to experiment with, and apparently has many healthful qualities as well.
