This is Meng Hai Factory’s (Da Yi) famous 7292 recipe, in a broken cake format, completely 100% Dry-Stored in Kunming. We acquired a batch of this at a tea auction in Kunming back in 2007, and from there it was kept in a dry storage room at our San Francisco warehouse.
The 7292 recipe is a great combination of young buds and big leaves, giving this a great harmonious yin and yang balance in its symphony of flavors, ranging from sweet tobacco, deep earth and cherries, to its clean, aromatic, and climatic aftertaste. After tasting this Pu Erh Cake, you’ll understand why Meng Hai (Da Yi) factory is so famous and why their quality is unparalleled.
Origin : Yunnan, China
Year : 1989 Dry Storage
We recommend using Chinese Yixing (purple clay) or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 2 grams of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for every 150ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 100°c (212°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.
