Grown in the high mountains of Shan Lin Xi, roughly 1600 meters above sea level, our “Formosa Iron Goddess” is made from an Anxi Iron Goddess Tie Guan Yin cultivar. Grown in Taiwanese terroir, and made with local Taiwanese tea roasting methods, the end result is a well-crafted fusion of flavors. It has the initial aromas of sweet nutty graham crackers, followed with a fragrant sugarcane-like flavor and aftertaste.
Origin: Shan Lin Xi, Nantou County, Taiwan
We recommend using Chinese Yixing (purple clay) or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Fill the teapot 1/4 to 1/3 full with tea leaves, or 2 grams of tea leaves for every 150ml of water if you are not using Yixing teapot. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 100°c (212°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.
