Being one of the rarest of all Phoenix Oolongs, this tea is usually sold at very high prices. After a quick search on Google for this tea, we encountered many tea websites that were selling this for around $50 - $70 for 2 ounces. Because we really wanted you all to be able to experience this truly fine and exquisite tea, we are offering our You Hua Xiang Pomelo at one of the most competitive prices available online!
Master crafted with the finest care to detail and quality, our You Hua Xiang Dan Chong comes from a very rare tea cultivar. Even when smelling just the dried tea leaves, the strong fragrant aromas of Pomelo flowers are highly noticeable. Because of the long and intensive hours that are put into pan roasting the tea leaves, roughly over 20 hours or so, the leaves are brightly green and red; and are also long, thin, and slender.
The most captivating thing about this tea is its beautiful aftertaste. Pure, smooth, simple, yet as complex as the dawn of time, the aftertaste is truly fragrant and amazing.
Origin: Chaozhou, Guangdong
We recommend using Chinese Yixing (purple clay) or porcelain tea ware. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Fill the teapot 1/2 to 3/4 full with tea leaves, or 2 grams of tea leaves for every 150ml of water if you are not using Yixing teapot. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 100°c (212°F) for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.
